Concord, ON – April 2017 – Vaughan in Action Community Program Inc., a leading non-profit charitable organization supporting adults with developmental disabilities, announced today that it has changed its name to Clarico Place of York Region (Clarico Place). The name change reflects the multifaceted programming and geographic reach across York Region the organization has built over its 21-year history.
“Our name change has been a year-in-the-making as the first step in implementing our new strategic direction,” explains Megan Thomas, Executive Director. “Rebranding this amazing organization is our opportunity to further promote inclusion and ability, and the building of better lives for individuals with developmental disabilities in York Region and beyond.”
Clarico Place – clarico meaning shine in Latin – is uniquely positioned as a non-government charitable organization with the flexibility to respond to the unique needs of its participants, as well as supporting families and caregivers with individualized attention. Accessible and knowledgeable staff create a family-oriented, positive and safe environment for participants, while delivering peace of mind to parents and caregivers. These qualities came shining through the rigorous rebranding focus group process that invited participants, parents, caregivers, community partners, Board of Directors and staff to share their feedback and shape Clarico Place for the future.
